Customer Requirement:
This refinery needed a way to seal a sampling probe inserted into a live process and allow safe change under pressure.

Conax Design Solution:
Conax designed a redundant seal assembly that provides a secondary seal to captureanygas orliquid thatescapesthe first seal.The optional annularport collects gas blowby.
This assembly can be used to seal any probe or instrument inserted into a gas or liquidprocess.The gland is supplied with a Teflon primary seal and Teflon secondary seal. Assemblies can be configured with different mounting thread sizes and/or bore sizes. Blow-out collars and/or safety chains can be provided if the application requires.The assembly shown features a 1" female NPT thread to seal on a 3/8" pipe.
